The Parish of Raheen warmly welcome Bishop Denis and wish him every blessing in his ministry as our new Shepherd

Message from Bishop Denis Nulty

On Sunday 4th August in Carlow was a wonderful occasion and I want, as best I can in these few short lines, to express my profound gratitude for what was a truly blessed day for me.

On behalf of my family and all who travelled to Carlow from outside the diocese, I want to give thanks firstly for the marvellous welcome and hospitality evident in every detail.

Everyone was hugely impressed by the organisation, the numerous volunteers, the decoration of the Cathedral and the other venues and of course the beautiful liturgy with its outstanding music.

In so many ways, it was a very proud day for our diocese as it was both a powerful and moving demonstration of the talents and the generosity of the faith community here in K&L.

My primary task in the coming weeks and months will be to visit all the parishes. I look forward to these visits and to other gatherings.

In conclusion, I just want to say again – many thanks, Míle Buiochas to one and all.
